I just thought I’d like to start off my first postings here on “The Song of the Day” series by playing you a song for charity. It’s a written by songwriter Anthony Mulcahy from Waterford, Ireland who now lives in New York City.
Anthony has decided to release this single ‘Tit Bonhomme’ to raise funds for the Bonmahon and Helvick Inshore Lifeboats.
The fishing vessel Tit Bonhomme sank in high seas at the entrance to Glandore Harbour off the coast of Union Hall in County Cork, Ireland on January 15th 2012. The tragedy took the lives of skipper Michael Hayes from Bonmahon, Co. Waterford, Kevin Kershaw from Tallaght, Co. Dublin and 3 Egyptians Attia Shaban, Wael Mohammed and Saied Ali Eldin.
You can donate to the cause by going to Anthony’s bandcamp page.
