<itunes:summary>Paddy-Whacked Radio (tm) Podcast and the Paddy-Whacked Radio (tm) FM radio show on WQFS in Greensboro take on the word of Irish Indie music!
Hi all,

Sorry for the wait on this one. I was respectfully awaiting approval from the Bellies. I just got word from their US management, and so here it is!

Paul Noonan and David Geraghty of Bell X1 were very kind in stopping by the campus of Guilford College in Greensboro North Carolina on their way from Raleigh NC to Atlanta GA (I think) to chat with Paddy-Whacked Radio™ on WQFS in Greensboro.

I hope you enjoy this!

Please know that the fidelity of the recording is limited to studio equipment (it’s college radio, eh?). Also, please forgive the squeaky door during the final live song. Someone decided it was a good idea to walk in and out of the studio at that particular time. (grumble grumble).

One of the great joys of my radio show was the stream of live musicians who came through and played. The show is over, at least as it existed on WMFO, but I thought it would be fun to put some of the live performances into a podcast. And here it is.

My final show on WMFO featured a visit from the legendary band, The Waterboys!! In this episode, among other things, you’ll hear all three songs that they played live, as well as a segment of the interview with singer Mike Scott.

Don’t forget to visit http://myspace.com/pwradio . if you are a myspace member, become a friend and subscribe to the blog to keep current on the show and the podcast. If you’re not, you can still look through and find links to many Irish Indie artists and music resources.

I plan on bringing the FM radio show back to life in January, after my family and I are settled in our new home in North Carolina. With luck the station I hope to get a spot at may be on line by then. If you’re interested, you’ll be able to follow the progress on this this through the Myspace blog.

After months off (off? HA!) we’re back with a bunch of shtuff that sounds good. You’ll hear music that’s famous, out of print, unreleased, unknown, easy to pick up in a record shop, new and difficult to find anywhere else. Not necessarily in that order.

Here’s the roster:

The Tycho Brahe
Michael Brunnock

Episode 8 is in the works and hopefully coming soon, with luck. I have a baby due in a short while, so we’ll see how much time I have to get it together. It will feature all live performances, mostly recorded on or by Paddy-Whacked Radio! The Waterboys will be featured, including an interview with singer, Mike Scott.

Don’t forget to check out http://myspace.com/pwradio for details about the podcast and my weekly radio show, Paddy-Whacked Radio™ Boston!

Oh and hey, if you like what you hear, there are a couple of things you can do to help keep PWRadio going and going strong:
1. Head on over to iTunes and leave a review so people know what’s going on here.
2. Make a donation. There are links on my main page and podcast pages, as well as on my myspace page. All donations are made securely through PayPal.

I want to thank all those who have donated already! It all goes back into the show, including software, server space, equipment and music.

Thanks again, and I will see you soon!

<itunes:summary>The Tycho Brahe, Michael Brunnock, Bickley O'Farrell, Pier Nineteen, The Mary Janes, The Vals, The Frames, Garrett Wall. Paddy-Whacked Radiotrade; Episode 7, The Return of the Thing!

After months off (off? HA!) we're back with a bunch of shtuff that sounds good. You'll hear music that's famous, out of print, unreleased, unknown, easy to pick up in a record shop, new and difficult to find anywhere else. Not necessarily in that order.

Here's the roster:

The Tycho Brahe
Michael Brunnock
Bickley O'Farrell
The Mary Janes
Pier Nineteen
The Vals
The Frames
Garrett Wall

Episode 8 is in the works and hopefully coming soon, with luck. I have a baby due in a short while, so we'll see how much time I have to get it together. It will feature all live performances, mostly recorded on or by Paddy-Whacked Radio! The Waterboys will be featured, including an interview with singer, Mike Scott.

Don't forget to check out http://myspace.com/pwradio for details about the podcast and my weekly radio show, Paddy-Whacked Radiotrade; Boston!

Oh and hey, if you like what you hear, there are a couple of things you can do to help keep PWRadio going and going strong:
1. Head on over to iTunes and leave a review so people know what's going on here.
2. Make a donation. There are links on my main page and podcast pages, as well as on my myspace page. All donations are made securely through PayPal.

I want to thank all those who have donated already! It all goes back into the show, including software, server space, equipment and music.

Thanks again, and I will see you soon!
